Another edition of Live at Loft is taking place tonight at Loft 28. There will be performances by host Eric Ratner, and Jazz, as well as local faves Jimmy and Joel. Plus, a performance by the MDream band! After the main show, the mic will be turned over to anyone who wants to play. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m., so please come out and support local music! OK Gwangju, it’s time to put all that trivial information you have to good use! That’s right, it’s trvia night at Speakeasy. Get a group of friends together (maximum 5), and head on down for a night of fun. Don’t have a team? Don’t Worry! You can always find one to join when you arrive. There will be six rounds of questions, and it only costs 5,000 won to play. The second place team will get there money back, and the first team will win the rest of the pot. The World Youth festival starts this weekend in Gwangju! Expect food, drinks, music, and events for the entire family. Everything will take place at the ACC Democracy Plaza. After you check out the World Youth Festival, hit up Tequilaz for their Friday Night Specials. Enjoy their delicious tacos for only 3,000 won each. It’s the third Saturday of the month, and that means it’s time for the GIC Art class! This Saturday’s topic will be a special one-silk screen printing! Since it is a special class, it will run longer than the usual ones, and space is limited so you will need to sign up. The cost is 20,000 won, and all materials will be provided. Looking for a great way to end your Saturday night? Then you need to head out to Speakeasy for their Summer Dance Party. DJ Magooch is back as he plays your favorites from the 70s-the era of disco, and pet rocks!
