Thursday, September 25th
Rugby World Cup games continue on the big screen at Speakeasy! Tonight will see England take on the United States in their first game of the tournament. Saturday’s match ups include South Africa’s second game, which is against Namibia. There will be jersey giveaways during the games, so the more drinks you buy, the more chances you have of winning! Friday, September 26th
It’s time for another GFN house concert this Friday night! It’s the fourth one of the year, and tonight you’ll be able to enjoy some jazz music on a nice, fall evening. There will be three groups that will be performing, and the show will begin at 7:00 p.m. For more details, you can go directly to GFN’s own site, or you can follow this link to an article right here on the blog. The concert will be held in Sa-dong, Namgu, at a traditional style house cafe.
Saturday, September 27th
The 2019 Gwangju Design Biennale continues on until October 31st. The exhibition will focus on the aesthetic, practical, and economical qualities of design. Famous designers, and various experts in the field will be making appearances during the event. For ticket details, and other information, please go to their official website.
This Saturday will be the last GIC Talk for the month of September. Dana Han will continue her series of lectures entitled, “Be the Change”. The topic for today will be “Judgements”, and will focus on the meaning, purpose, and impact that they have on our lives. The talk will begin at 4:00 p.m., and will go for about an hour.
