Gwangju Foreign Language Network (GFN radio ) will be kicking off a new season of programming on March 13th, 2017 with updates to its regular shows as well as adding new shows to the line up! (www.gfn.or.kr)
To keep things fresh and interesting, GFN is looking for unique new voices and personalities to become guests on various shows (current affairs, music, community) to reflect the rich diversity of the Gwangju and Jeollanamdo community.
The new season of shows on GFN will aim to be more inclusive of the wider Foreigner, Korean and International Student communities focussing on what you want to know about about the city/province in which you live in. All nationalities are welcome as long as prospective guests live in the Gwangju/Jeollanamdo area and are fluent in English.
So, if you want to be on radio and have a unique point of view, GFN would love to hear from you. Prospective guests should be fluent and comfortable in speaking English, however multilingual guests are also welcome. (GFN already has programming in Mandarin and the new season will include a Vietnamese show.)
- Guests usually join the host of the show in talking about a topic for one 15/25 minute segment. Guests will usually prepare the script for the topic under discussion. Guests are paid.
If you live in Gwangju/ greater Jeollanamdo and would like to audition to be a guest on GFN, please send email with your name, age, nationality, a recent picture, language ability and a 1 min voice clip/sample to
firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP. (Voice clips can be recorded on smartphones or you could include a youtube clip.)
