If you have been out of the loop the 2018 FIFA World cup kicks off next week!
South Korean football coach Shin Tae Yong said Monday his training plans for the 2018 FIFA World Cup are almost completed. The National team is currently training in Leogang, Austria, with 23 players on the final roster. The team will be captained by Gwangju born Ki Sung Yong!
The Korea Football Association (KFA) cut three players, Kim Jin Su, Lee Chung Yong and Kwon Kyung Won from their provisional roster of 26 after playing two friendly matches at home. South Korea beat Honduras 2-0 , but fell 3-1 to Bosnia and Herzegovina last week.
While in Austria, South Korea will play two friendly matches before flying to their World Cup base camp in St. Petersburg on June 12th.
The Taeguk Warriors will take on Bolivia this Thursday (6.7) and play a closed match against Senegal next Monday.
South Korea is in World Cup Group F with Sweden, Mexico and current holders of the World Cup trophy, Germany.
