Lee Byeong Hoon, Gwangju’s Deputy Mayor of Culture and Administration, recently said that there is a high chance for the City to host a group of North Korean artists for a concert dubbed ‘Autumn is here.’
Lee added that the City is putting together a task force to prepare for the concert.
He highlighted the importance of hosting the concert as the City is pushing to invite North Korean swimmers to next year’s FINA Aquatics Championship.
In related news from this month the Gwangju Unification Education Center and Unification Education Committee Gwangju Office jointly organized a talk concert titled 2018 Unification of the Korean Peninsula, Talk Concert which was held at the May 18 Memorial Culture Center.
The event provided a debate session for participants to freely exchange their thoughts on unification of the two Koreas with musical and dance performances prepared for entertainment.
