Broadcasters from around the world attended a World Broadcasters Meeting (WBM) in Gwangju to check on the facilities, services and processes available to them at the 2019 FINA World Championships.

Broadcasters including the European Publishers Council, SVT from Sweden, RAI from Italy, ASAHI from Japan, NBC from U.S.A and Korea’s MBC representatives had a meeting with the organizing committee and got a first glimpse of how the championship will be brought to audiences and athletes

A day of presentations and visits out to Gwangju’s Asia Culture Center and the Swimming Course along Nambu University Municipal Aquatics Center and Yeomju Gymnasium showcased a completely new production plan designed to be the most innovative and progressive ever at a World Championships, driving key audiences around the world by being bold and creative.

Lee Yong-Soeb, Mayor of Gwangju City said: “We’ve been delighted to welcome the world’s broadcasters to Gwangju this week and extremely proud to share our production plans which will showcase this great sporting event and engage with existing and new audiences in exciting ways.”
