It is super hot out there and the trend is forecast to continue till the end of the month and into August.
Blistering heat continues to dominate the Korean Peninsula with heat wave warnings expanding in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo. According to the weather agency, with the Tibetan anticyclone expanding close to the Korean Peninsula and the North Pacific anticyclone bringing hot and humid air to the country, scorching heat will linger over the country.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration intensified heat wave advisories and as of now Gwangju and 13 cities and counties in Jeonnam are under heat wave warnings.
The City has also started to wet the roads in order to reduce the heat and reduce heat related problems with cars.
