Trivia night at Speakeasy returns, and it’s going to be a big one. That’s because the theme for this week is the popular TV show, Game of Thrones. I know that there are a lot of fans of the show, so tonight should be really competitive. The cost of trivia is only 5,000 won per person. You can play with a group (Of up to 5 people), or you can find a team to play with. The second place team will get their money back, and the first place team will receive the rest of the pot, as well as a 25,000 won bar tab! It’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun, and a whole lot safer than the red wedding! For all the details, please check out Speakeasy’s Facebook page.

It may be coming a day late, but residents will have their chance to have a delicious Thanksgiving meal at The First Alleyway. They’ll be having their annual Thanksgiving dinner tonight starting at 5 p.m. This is a first come, first served event with no reservations so don’t delay in getting down to the Alleyway. You certainly don’t want to miss a Turkey dinner that includes gravy, stuffing, and all the other classic trimmings. The price of the meal will be between 15,000 and 16,000 won. If you’re not a big fan of turkey then don’t worry, they will be serving their regular menu as well. For all the information, please go to their Facebook event page.

After you enjoy your turkey dinner, get over to Tequilaz for some post Thanksgiving happy hour specials. They’ll be having their usual bottomless drafts for 12,000 won, and bottomless rail cocktails for 20,000 won. On top of those specials, they’ll also be offering Talisker Whisky for 5,000 won. All three specials are cash only, and run from 9 p.m. to midnight. For more info, please go to Tequilaz’s Facebook page.

This Saturday at the GIC you can kick off the holiday season by making ornaments. At today’s art class you’ll be able to make your own Christmas decorations with felt. This meeting is definitely going to have a holiday feel-there will be music, a Christmas tree, and holiday themed snacks. Now because this is a special meeting, you will have to prepay(10,000 won) by the end of November 23rd to secure your spot. If you forget, walk-ins will be allowed, but the fee will be 14,000 won. Half of the proceeds from the meeting will go to adopt-a-child, so it’s all for a good cause. The meeting will start at 12:30 p.m., and it goes until 3. For complete information on how to prepay, please go to their Facebook event page. Now later on in the day there will be the GIC Talk series. This Saturday Lea Moreau, a student who traveled abroad extensively, and who used to work at a local guesthouse, will talk about how you can study and still travel around the world. The lecture begins at 4 p.m., and goes for about an hour. For more info you can go to their Facebook page.
