Is everybody ready for the weekend? Well let’s see what’s happening in our city!
Thursday, April 5th
You don’t want to start off the weekend feeling sluggish, so the best thing for to do is get over to the GIC for Zumba. Hey Bill, what is Zumba? You don’t know already? All right, it’s my job to let you know. Zumba is an energetic cardio class that is open to any level. It’s a fun way to exercise, and it’s also a great start to your weekend. Make sure you wear something comfortable, and bring some water because you will need it. Zumba takes place starting at 7:00 p.m., and the class is led by certified instructor Thando Mlambo. If you need more information, then please go to their Facebook page.
After you give your body a workout, you might want to think about giving your brain a workout . . . with some trivia! That’s right it’s trivia night at Speakeasy, and it’s always a fun time with friends. Gather a group together (max. 5 people) and head on down to test your knowledge. Don’t have a group? Not to worry, you can always find one to join. It only costs 5,000 won to play, and you could win that back and more. The second place team gets their money back, while the first place team wins the rest of the pot. There’s also free shots if you get a perfect round. Don’t forget to get there early to take advantage of their great (now everyday!) happy hour specials. For more details about trivia night, please go to Speakeasy’s Facebook page.

If things haven’t been going well lately, then you need some funk music in your life. If things have been going well, you still need some funk music in your life! Can’t we all use a little funk music in our lives? Speakeasy delivers this weekend with another performance from the Bump City Band! This group from Daejeon is quickly becoming a favorite in our city, and if you’ve seen their shows then you know why. If you’re wondering about drink specials, hey it’s Speakeasy so of course there will be great drink specials! Before the concert they will also be having football on the big screen. The music will begin sometime after 10:00 p.m., but to be sure please check out their Facebook page. It’ll be a funky way to end your Saturday, and trust me when I say that’s a good thing!
